August was a hot month, with large areas of England seeing a 34C heatwave. We also saw two of our Light Locations fighting for the title of monthly hot property as the photo shoot location industry crept further out from its enforced COVID induced hibernation. With ten shoot days each during August, both Hungerford House and New Cross were our hot properties for August.
This beautiful Victorian house which has just had a stunning photo update is perfect for socially distanced shoots. Not only is it set in the beautiful and quiet countryside of West Berkshire, but internally it boasts fabulous Georgian properties and a stunning open plan kitchen and living space. It’s ideal for providing plenty of socially distanced space for shoot crews and photographic set-ups.
Since it joined Light Locations in 2019, Hungerford House has attracted a range of well-known clients, many of which take advantage of the ability to paint or decorate the location. During August, this included fabric and wallcoverings brand Villa Nova and Paint and Paper specialists Little Greene Paint Company.
This double fronted Victorian house in South East London is always a versatile favourite with clients as it’s a sparsely furnished and empty property. Marks and Spencer and Argos were two clients in August who utilised its vast proportions, period features and an array of options for living room and bedroom set-ups.
New Cross has been with Light Locations for quite a while and amongst its many charms, we think it’s the best house in London for clients looking to paint and decorate their shoot location.
